If you plan on sending your young adult to Biola University, (a private Christian University) or going there yourself, know that the campus is facing a new liberality.  Students and employees who are of alternative sexual persuasions, are making a public statement about their proclivities.  The school does not plan on changing it’s policy but is unable to address the issue head on because the members of the group are seemingly still anonymous.

With debate raging over the group and its aims, Biola President Barry Corey told students that the school has no intention of changing its policy to “fit increasingly accepted ethical or moral norms. In particular, we don’t need to modernize or bend our biblically based position on sexual ethics.” ~ John Boxley and Ashley Bornancin, NBC News

Popcorn tastes good, until the bitter burnt kernel is found at the bottom of the bag…

Our dear first lady gave a speech in late June to the First AME Church Conference in Nashville Tennessee to a primarily black American constituancy in which she encouraged the members to get out and vote, and to find others in their communities to do the same.

One can appreciate what she said, and there are many “applaud- able” thoughts she communicated to the group in her remarks.  However, for those of us who have been making a point of reading between the lines and using other books and videos to understand our political system, things may not be what they appear.

This is a little excerpt of her comments from White House.gov

So I want you to talk to your friends and your family, your neighbors.  Talk to them.  Talk to folks in the beauty salons, the barbershops, the parking lot at church.  Tell them what’s happening on the city council and out in Washington.  Let them know.  Find that nephew who has never voted — get him registered.  (Applause.)  Start an email list or a Facebook group.  Send people articles about issues you care about, and then call them to make sure they’ve read them.
 
And to anyone who says that church is no place to talk about these issues, you tell them there is no place better — no place better.  (Applause.)  Because ultimately, these are not just political issues — they are moral issues.  They’re issues that have to do with human dignity and human potential, and the future we want for our kids and our grandkids.  And the work of inspiring and empowering folks, the work of lifting up families and communities — that has always been the work of the AME Church.  (Applause.)  That’s what you all do best. 

I really like the first lady and I think she is well-intentioned. The problem… as usual,  is the “agenda.”  It’s roots can be found in “Faith Undone,”  a book by Roger Oakland; which describes the establishment of the “Emergent Church,” now referred to most commonly as the “Church Growth Movement,” started in the early 90’s.

The establishment of the Leadership Network was a precursor to the Emergent Movement and by it’s creation determined that believers with a social justice agenda would marry themselves with the social change agenda of those in politics who are pushing a socialist agenda. Worst of all, they are using/used the bible in misinterpreted form to do it.( See articles on this site about Rick Warren, Tony Blair and the Emergent Church.) Google (or search on this site) the wayward thoughts of Rob Bell or Tony Campolo (to name only two) and you will see evidence of the agenda in the church.

Why are the first lady’s comments so devastating to the black community and to America in general? It is a good thing that she is encouraging the vote, but for what and who? Take a look at the government funded statistics for abortion in our black communities and you will find a blatant government established and funded genocide taking place. Since Roe v. Wade was passed, abortion in black communities has been funded and encouraged by tax dollars. Most abortion mills are located in or near black communities. Many more black babies are aborted each year than any other race in this country.

Going along with the social justice agenda in the church is unBiblical as well as criminal in my opinion. It is like a container of popcorn in a dark theater… when you get to the last,  there is a terrible tasting, burnt kernel, and the after -taste is bitter and impossible to dilute.

When Lyndon Johnson was president, he signed documents that would help black women with children financially, if the women would state that there was no father in the home, thus encouraging women to live without this God ordained completion of the family.

We must wake our friends and neighbors to this insincere move to get the black vote while murdering their beautiful children and damaging their families in the process. This no mistake or oversight.  With the establishment of the various social programs in the black community, the government has taken away not only the dignity of the black family, but their incentive to be free. This is a veiled form of slavery. But don’t take my word for it. Do your own homework.

I urge you to sign up for the “Conflict of Interest” newsletter and support Rev. Walter B. Hoye II; a black preacher and anti-abortion activist based in Oakland, California, who is working diligently to get the word out that what you see is not what you are getting in the black community.

There is a film soon to be released that is a must see for every American, and particularly encouraging to black Americans who are waking up to the truth of slavery in the 21st century. “Runaway Slave” will be in theaters July 27. I have seen the film and I encourage you not to miss it. Go as a group, support this film in your churches and small groups. You will learn  what Reverend C.L Bryant has discovered through prayer and obedience, and it will change the way you see the black community and freedom in America. The film is for everyone.
