We missed you. I am posting this video for those of you who have never been to a rally. It is good to know what takes place there. It was a very important event- mostly attended by Catholics. How do I know? The sign of the cross being used to finish their participation in prayer.
Where were my friends… the Christians who say they care about the world, their progeny, the innocent? If you are like me- I used to tell myself, “oh good, so-and-so went. at least they had a good turnout.” Mothers attended the rally with babies in arms, and little ones underfoot- as were teens there in school uniforms.
It has been my experience that professing Christians are the least likely to take a stand, or be involved in the process of government on any level other than prayer. In fact only 1/2 of the six million professing believers in this country bother to vote. We are commanded to be salt and light, and to occupy until He comes.
The real loss is that you still don’t understand what this means to you and your children and/or church. In 1973 I didn’t understand what Roe v.Wade meant. If I had been a believer, could I have made my stand be known? Would there have been 52 million aborted babies on our watch if we had done more?
These are hard issues. The current Health and Human Services Mandate for religious organizations to provide insurance that includes coverage for abortions, contraceptives and abortifacients (morning after pill) against conscience and religious tenets, is religious bondage to the government. It is government interference in what you believe.
In it’s recent decision, the Obama administration has “allowed” an accommodation for Catholic hospitals and ministries to not have to provide certain coverage. However, this is nothing more than a “bait and switch” deal. Take everything away then give just a little back, after “reconsideration.” This is manipulation, and abuse of government. Albeit used intentionally to give protesting groups the sense that they have “won” something back. The intention was to get a big black boot of government into the door of your ministry.
It has left an open door for the federal government to determine whether or not you have a “legitimate” ministry when you ask for an exemption. But…. by whose standards? Do you see the problem?
Prayer changes things. However; the bible also tells us “as a man thinks in his heart… so he is.” Translated; people only do what is in their heart, regardless of what they say or how many prayers they offer. Prayer can be and excuse for inaction. I know I have been there.
Putting on the full armor of God is of no use in a prayer closet. David Barton enumerates the many ways this president is what he calls “hostile” to what appears to be people of faith generally but particularly for people who study the word of God. He lists specific incidents from 2008 to February this year.
From an article in the Baptist Press, it is revealed that the president has his own definition of what it means to be a Christian, along with his perception that there are many roads to heaven.
From Cathleen Falsani, who published a book (“The God Factor: Inside the Spiritual Lives of Public People”), we are given information not used in the book but kept by the writer from and interview with the U.S. Senate candidate in 2004. Lest you had doubts or are giving the benefit of the doubt to one said, “Christian,” let it be known in the man’s own words just where he places his trust.
“Among Obama’s most intriguing answers, he says he believes there are many paths to God. His answers on heaven and sin, though, have drawn the most discussion: …”I am a Christian. So, I have a deep faith,” he said. “So, I draw from the Christian faith. On the other hand, I was born in Hawaii where obviously there are a lot of Eastern influences. I lived in Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world, between the ages of six and 10. My father was from Kenya, and although he was probably most accurately labeled an agnostic, his father was Muslim. And I’d say, probably, intellectually I’ve drawn as much from Judaism as any other faith.”
He added, “So, I’m rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people.” BP News
Sounds like a one world religious philosophy to me. But I am not the judge… I am called to discern as is every believer. The bible says there is only ONE way to heaven and that is through the narrow gate, the door, the good shepherd, the Savior, the Son of Man, the great I am, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob… Yeshua Ha Meshiach; Jesus the Messiah.

For the unemployed in Detroit, getting gussied up for a job interview must have included diamond stud earrings and gold chains, or did it?
A recent article by the Detroit News reports that $11 million, yes… million dollars were granted to the Department of Human Services to adorn (cloth) would be workers for job interviews. The sad part of the story is that the $11 million only clothed 2 of the unemployed for job interviews in that city. One wonders if they shopped at Wal-Mart.
To receive clothing, residents were required to have a job interview scheduled. According to the audit, the DHS was supposed to help 400 people between October 2010 and September 2011 but instead served only two.~Darren A. Nichols Detroit News.
The slip up was the outcome of a recent audit by the city’s general auditor. There are some who believe the jobless in Detroit deserve our money.
“It’s just another example that money is not as much of an issue than managing the money, whether it’s grant or general fund dollars that we have,” said Council President Pro Tem Gary Brown. “We have to find a better way to manage the resources and give Detroiters the value for the tax dollars they deserve.” ~Darren A.
