Walter Reed National Military Medical Center had banned BIBLES and other religious materials from entering the facility in September, disallowing family members from bringing such things into their soldiers and loved ones hospitalized on the premises. The ban has since been rescinded but not without a fight by U.S. Rep. Steve King (R-IA). The way the change in policy was revisited is a little sketchy, but patients have their right to religious materials returned to them, thanks to the Congressman.
The September 14th memo covers guidelines for “wounded, ill, and injured partners in care.”
