Be prepared for yet another wave of invasive government actions. A system is now being put in place to allow Big Brother to text you, where ever you are, to warn of a possible terror attack or presenting danger. The color coded terror alert system currently in place (which few people heed) is being scraped for one much more efficient. After all, 85% of adults (according to the New York Daily News online story) carry cell phones.
One need not be near home because wherever you are… the message will find you. Reportedly, you will be able to turn off the terror alert warnings, but your phone will recieve messages from the president whether you want them or not.
“The system – called PLAN or Personal Localized Alerting Network – uses cell phone towers to send messages to everyone currently in a certain area, regardless of whether they’re visiting from out of town or have a phone registered elsewhere. People won’t have to register in advance to receive the alerts.”
