“Shadow Government” and Smartphones

In a recent article from Computerworld site, the encrochment on your privacy via apps for cellphone users to snoop on those around you is a reality.  Others are now able to see the pictures you are taking on their phones depending on their proximity to you and also are able to listen in on conversation.

Three new programs are able to listen in on ambient sound in your home.

The apps are Color, Shopkick and IntoNow, all of which activate the microphones in users’ iPhone or Android devices in order to gather contextual information that provides some benefit to the user.

The apps use ambient sounds to figure out what you’re paying attention to. It’s the next best thing to reading your mind. ~Computerworld Mike Elgan (Snooping not a crime)

These things were discussed in the movie “Shadow Government” at our last P.A.R. meeting. I found a copy of the movie, full length on You Tube. (Find it below). Why is it important for you to know where technology is leading us? Today, it is for marketers and voyeurs; tomorrow it may be for what you believe, or your political views.

There is a rapidly changing atmosphere regarding world government, and it is not pro-believer. On the contrary, it is pro -mother earth, humanistic and socialist/communist. There may not be room for what you believe. One-world religion is fast approaching. Do you KNOW what you believe? Ready for the consequences?
